Technical description

The electro-luminescent stripe integrated in LUMEN is made of laminated material that contains a particular fluorescent colouring.

Released in a bond substance and by the use of parallelelectrodes located on the edges of the EL-stripes the slide shines via the feeding of alternating current.

The configuration of the seperate strata

The described layer composition is normally supplemented by a reflexion- and a confining layer. These strata, including the connector cables are laminated in transparent PE-protective layers and thereby guarded of infiltration of wetness and other effects.

In that way a normal glow-layer-cell consists of at least six different strata.
